You will undergo one month of classroom training to give you an overview of the banking industry as well as the responsibilities of the various functions in OCBC.  

In the following six months, you will be attached to different departments to get an in-depth understanding and gain practical experience in customer service and operations in consumer banking.  

After this period of intense learning, you’ll be ready to take on the role that you are hired for and start making your mark in consumer banking.

For two months, you will be attached to our Commercial Service Centre where you will learn about our corporate banking products and services, understand how to serve our SME and conglomerate clients, and how to provide relevant and prompt after-sales service.  

After which, you will move to another department within GCB as a Relationship Associate / Assistant Relationship Manager. Here, you will help manage a portfolio of corporate customers and provide them with a range of financial products and services including cash management, trade and payments, and treasury.

These business units are Treasury, Securities, Trade, Loans, Cards, Payment and Investment.

You will be part of a team in charge of providing timely and accurate processing of client transactions, as well as proper documentation to prevent operational errors.

You will be tasked with ensuring that all documented procedures, control guidelines and compliance framework are followed.  

Most importantly, you will gain exposure to various banking products and processes, while playing an active role in building a quality culture and driving process improvements within OCBC.

Be part of a team that specialises in IT infrastructure support and solutions, as well as recommending intelligent systems and processes.  

You will get to simplify OCBC’s processes by integrating and standardising existing business processes and technological applications.  

If you have the aptitude in this field and a keen eye for intelligent processes, we want you for this job.

If you have always believed in building long-term relationships with customers by catering to their needs and providing excellent after-sales service, this might be the job for you.  

You will start off as a Mortgage Specialist, based at one of our bank branches, planning your own sales visits and presentations to potential customers.

As you progress, you will also start building a referral base of your own through regular contact with your referral sources.

This includes promoting our full range of wealth management products, such as mortgage loans, insurance, unit trusts and structured deposits.  

You will build long-term relationships with these customers by recommending and selling products that suit their needs and giving them excellent after-sales service.

You must possess the passion and aptitude for equity execution / sales and managing a portfolio of clients. There will be a two-year training bond to help you establish a foothold in the industry and provide a head start towards a rewarding and challenging career in wealth management.  

In this 12-week structured learning programme, you will attend in-house business briefs by the Business Heads and external product lectures by accredited training providers.  

Be prepared to get busy with on-the-job training on trade execution and market information systems. You will gain exposure to the back office supporting departments to help you understand their functions. You will also be assigned projects spanning foreign markets, industry sectors and equity products.
