Security Advisory: SMS Phishing - 12 June 2007

If you receive any sms or email requesting that you call OCBC Bank to confirm a credit card transaction, please DO NOT respond.

Please note that under no circumstances will OCBC send you an SMS or email asking for your personal information or to confirm a specific credit card transaction. Neither will we indicate your account or transaction details in our SMS or emails to you. You should not respond to such SMS or emails or reveal your personal information to anyone.

If there is a genuine need to speak to you with regard to your account with us, we will always ask customers to call our Authorisation Centre at 6535 9733.
