ABOUT OCBC$ - Answers

1:	What is OCBC$?

Ans: OCBC$ is the currency for our rewards points. You can earn 1 OCBC$ for every S$1 charged to your OCBC Credit Card.

2:	How can I earn OCBC$?

Ans: You will be awarded 1 OCBC$ for every S$1 charged to your OCBC Credit Card (excluding OCBC NTUC VISA Card, OCBC Robinsons VISA Card, corporate cards, debit cards, private label cards and all Cards that have been suspended or terminated). The OCBC$ is calculated based on the value of Card transactions effected daily and rounded down to the nearest OCBC$. Annual card membership fees, CashWise, IPP (with effect from 1 July 08), interest charges, late payment charges, goods and services taxes, cash advances, balance transfers and other fees and charges are excluded from the calculation of OCBC$.

3:	What is the validity period of my OCBC$?

Ans: Your OCBC$ expires one year from your fee date (as shown on your card).

4:	How can I find out the total amount of OCBC$ I have accumulated?

Ans: There are 3 options open to you: Your available OCBC$ will be reflected in your monthly statements. You may call 1800 363 3333 or (65) 6363 3333 (for overseas callers). Finally, you may also log on to our Internet Banking and click on either: - balances and networth - Or my OCBC$ under OCBC Extras in the OCBC$ Rewards programme.

5:	What happens to OCBC$ that are earned by my Supplementary Cardmember?

Ans: OCBC$ earned by your Supplementary Cardmember are credited to your Credit Card Account and you can use them to redeem for OCBC$ Rewards under the OCBC$ Rewards Programme.

6:	Can I combine the OCBC$ that I have earned from my different OCBC Credit Card Accounts?

Ans: Under the OCBC$ Rewards Programme, all OCBC$ earned from different Card Accounts may not be aggregated.

1:	How do I use my OCBC$ to redeem OCBC$ Rewards?

Ans:

You can easily redeem the gifts you desire by using our Internet Banking, PhoneBanking services or Mobile Banking.

For your convenience, we have provided a simple guide for you.

OCBC Internet Banking Easy Guide

Step 1 Log on to https://www.ocbc.com/internet-banking/ using your Access Code and Internet Banking PIN.

Step 2 Select "Account Enquiry".

Step 3 Select "Account Summary".

Step 4 Select "OCBC$ Rewards" and a new browser will open automatically.

Step 5 Select "OCBC$ Rewards" again.

Step 6 Select the Rewards category you are interested in.

Step 7 Select your desired OCBC$ Reward and click "add to my OCBC$ cart".

Step 8 Select the OCBC Credit Card number you wish to use to make your redemption.

Step 9 Select the quantity of the OCBC$ Reward you wish to redeem.

Step 10 Select "Check Out" to confirm redemption or click ‘Continue Shopping’ to continue redeeming more OCBC$ Rewards.

An OCBC$ Rewards Voucher will be sent to you within 7 working days.

OCBC PhoneBanking Easy Guide

Call 1800 363 3333 or (65) 6363 3333 when overseas.

Step 1: Press 1 for English, 2 for Mandarin or 3 for Malay

An OCBC$ Rewards Voucher will be sent to you within 7 working days.

2:	When can I redeem an OCBC$ Reward?

Ans: You may redeem an OCBC$ Reward as long as the OCBC$ have been credited into your OCBC Credit Card account.

3:	Will I be able to make redemptions at anytime of the day?

Ans: Yes, you will. We are pleased to inform you that OCBC PhoneBanking and Internet Banking services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

4:	When will my OCBC$ be deducted?

Ans: On successful redemption, the OCBC$ required for the redemption will be immediately deducted from your account. The Rewards Voucher will be mailed to you within 7 working days.

1:	What is the OCBC$ Rewards Programme?

Ans: The OCBC$ Rewards Programme lets OCBC Credit Cardmembers enjoy a wide selection of OCBC$ Rewards with the OCBC$ they earn by using their OCBC Credit Cards. They can redeem their OCBC$ simply by logging on to our web site, calling our 24-hour OCBC PhoneBanking service at 1800 363 3333 or (65) 6363 3333 (for overseas callers)or logging onto mobile.ocbc.com via mobile phone's Web Browser.

2:	What is the validity period of the OCBC$ Rewards Programme?

Ans: The programme starts on 01 June 2008 and ends on 31 May 2009.

3:	What are the categories in the OCBC$ Rewards Programme?

Ans:

The catalogue features the following categories:

4:	Will I be able to redeem OCBC$ Rewards under the Titanium and Platinum sections?

Ans: To redeem these Rewards, you must be an existing OCBC Titanium or Platinum Cardmember. In addition, redemption must be made with your OCBC Titanium or Platinum Credit Card.

1:	How will I receive the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher(s)?

Ans: The OCBC$ Rewards Voucher(s) will be sent to your OCBC Credit Card’s mailing address as stated in the bank’s records.

2:	How long will it take to process my OCBC$ redemption request?

Ans: Please allow approximately seven (7) working days for the processing of your redemption request.

3:	What is the validity period of the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher?

Ans: The OCBC$ Rewards Voucher is valid for a period of 3 months from the date of its issue unless otherwise stated. Kindly note that the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher ceases to have any effect after its expiry date. In addition, use of the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher is subject to the terms and conditions stated on them.

4:	Can I extend the validity of my Rewards Voucher?

Ans: We regret that we are unable to extend the validity of your Rewards Voucher.

5:	How do I pay for the cash portion in the instance of a partial redemption?

Ans:

Where an OCBC$ Reward is redeemable using OCBC$ and cash, the cash component will be deducted from your Card Account upon redemption.

6:	Can I redeem for several of the same OCBC$ Rewards?

Ans: Yes, you can, so long as you have sufficient OCBC$ in your Card Account. However, please note that all OCBC$ Rewards are on a first-come-first serve basis and are valid while stocks last.

7:	Can I request to cancel my redemption?

Ans: We regret that cancellation of OCBC$ Rewards Vouchers will not be entertained once you have confirmed the redemption.

8:	I have received my OCBC$ Rewards Voucher. Can I nominate someone else to claim the OCBC$ Rewards on my behalf should I be unable to do so?

Ans: Yes, you can. You may nominate your Supplementary Cardmember to use the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher on your behalf. Simply complete the nomination form printed at the back of your OCBC$ Rewards Voucher.

9:	Can I use more than one OCBC$ Rewards Voucher per visit?

Ans: In the redemption of any OCBC$ Reward, only one OCBC$ Rewards Voucher per visit/table/bill may be used, unless it is stated otherwise. In the latter instance, you must comply with the conditions (if any) that are stipulated by the participating merchant(s).

10:	How do I collect my OCBC$ Rewards?

Ans:

To collect your OCBC$ Rewards, you or your Supplementary Cardmember must present the relevant OCBC$ Rewards Voucher together with your/his OCBC Credit Card, as proof of eligibility, to the relevant participating merchant as well as sign on the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher.

For purchases exceeding the value of the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher, you or your Supplementary Cardmember must charge the difference to your/his or her OCBC Credit Card. There shall be no refund, in any form whatsoever, if the value of the goods and/or services is below that of the OCBC$ Rewards Voucher.
